Athletes Foot

Organisms Trichophyton rubrum or Trichophyton interdigitale.
Samples Not usually required but consider sending skin scrapings if the infection has not responded to standard treatment.
Treatment Terbinafine cream - apply thinly to the affected area and surrounding skin twice a day for 7 days (adults only).
