Impetigo

Treatment Topical fusidic acid for 7 days is usually adequate for localised lesions. (Dose dependent on age).

Oral antibiotics should be given if lesions are extensive or severe.

Topical fusidic acid three times a day for 5 days. 

Flucloxacillin 500mg four times a day. 

Clarithromycin 500mg twice daily if penicillin allergic (7 days).
