(prosthetic heart valve, previous
endocarditis, surgically constructed
systemic-pulmonary shunt or
conduit synthetic vascular graft less
than 1 year old) |

ERCP or ultra sound guided drainage | pancreatic
pseudocyst or unlikely/unable to achieve complete biliary decompression

Ciprofloxacin PO 750mg 60-90 minutes prior
to procedure.

PEG tube insertion | All patients (if patient is already receiving broad-spectrum antibiotics additional prophylaxis is not required) |
Co-trimoxazole 480mg/5mL suspension. 10mL (960mg) to be given through PEG tube just after insertion. |
