13.7 Preparations for Warts

FIRST CHOICE:        SALACTOL® paint

Salactol® paint (salicylic acid 16.7% and lactic acid 16.7%)
Dose: For warts, corns and calluses, apply daily.

Occlusal® application (salicylic acid 26% in polyacrylic solution)
Dose:
  For common and plantar warts, apply daily.

Occlusal® contains a higher concentration of salicylic acid (26%) than Salatol® paint  (16.7%).  Care should be taken to avoid applying to surrounding healthy skin.
